Aboveground is a software development indie shop started by Daniel Wyszynski. Dan's been in numerous positions in many major companies, such as Sony and Viacom/MTV Networks, and helped found and support many startups.
Dan was the sole developer for the initial version of Triller, launching to millions of downloads immediately, and helping to build the team that supported the app afterwards. He was a developer on an innovative project called Ready that helped bring programming knowledge to young kids by allowing them to build entertaining games and experiences. Dan was the lead iOS developer, creating Punch!, a platform for publishing interactive experiences created for the launch of the iPad. Dan, along with the founding team, demoed the product at Apple HQ to a select group to much praise.
In his capacity as the lead at Aboveground, he has also helped numerous clients develop their apps, both in-house and for the App Stores. Aboveground helps maintain a portfolio of apps for Maquet, part of Getinge Group, which support their sales and marketing teams. It also was the initial developer of PubSavvy, a PubMed medical journal abstract search tool.
Most recently, Dan has been applying his knowledge at Nike, helping consumers unlock access to highly prized shoes through innovative technology such as augmented reality, beacons and location-based access.
